Fuel consumption and other things to consider when buying a van
How to use the online Van Fuel Data service
You can check fuel consumption and emissions figures for any new van on sale in the UK by using the Van Fuel Data service from the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA).
Use the VCA Van Fuel Data service to check fuel consumption and emissions figures for new vans.
On the homepage, you can choose to search for all vehicles, or make a selection from a range of vehicle types:
- small van
- medium van
- large van - you can narrow this down to weight ranges of less than 2.5 tonnes, 2.5-3.1 tonnes or 3.1-3.5 tonnes
- four-wheel drive vehicles
- pick-ups
After you have made your choice, the next page will automatically display all vehicles that come under the category you have selected. Results are listed in order of CO2 emissions, with the lowest emitting vehicles shown first. You can narrow this list down by picking any number of the filter options shown above the list.
Clicking on a filter option will automatically update your vehicle listing. For more information about a particular vehicle, click the "View" link to the left of the model and manufacturer name.
