Find out fuel consumption and emissions figures for new vans with the VCA
Before you start using this service
This page links you to the Van Fuel Data service from the Vehicle Certification Agency.
You can use this service to check and compare fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures for new vans and other light commercial vehicles currently available in the UK. This will help you make an informed choice before you buy. It can also help you reduce the impact of your vehicle on the environment.
Vehicles included in the database are:
- small, medium and large vans
- four-wheel drive vehicles
- pick-ups
You can search by various criteria, including:
- manufacturer
- model
- fuel type
- fuel consumption
- CO2 emissions level
- transmission type
- gross vehicle weight (large vans only)
The database is regularly updated as new vehicles come on to the market.
Other information
The fuel consumption test for vans is carried out with the vehicle unladen, and with the same drive cycle used to test cars. The figures shown are not intended to be representative of those achieved under average 'real life' driving conditions, eg with different vehicle loads and in weather conditions. However, they will be useful in comparing the relative fuel economy and CO2 emissions of similar vehicles.
The database does not currently include data for vehicles shipped from the vehicle manufacturer as 'chassis cabs' for completion by specialist bodybuilding companies.
